Hands-Free Mode (Wake Word "John")

Toggle the HF switch in the input bar to enable hands-free.
Say "John" (or your custom wake word) followed by your question, e.g. "John tell me about John 3:16".
It listens continuously, uses wake word to start, and you can say the wake word again to barge-in while it's speaking.
For long pauses, say "[John] pause" or "hold".
The live transcript shows improved Bible reference recognition.

Click Settings in the header to open voice and app preferences.
Choose from voices your browser exposes (no app filter).
iPhone: basic system voices only (Safari, Chrome, or Edge — same list); try Daniel or Karen.
Mac: use Chrome; Enhanced voices from Spoken Content settings.
Use 🔊 test buttons to preview any voice with John 3:16.
Speed and pitch sliders adjust the voice.
Reload system voices after downloading new voices in system settings.
Auto-speak can be toggled for AI replies.

Tip: Numbered internal voices on Mac are real — use the 🔊 buttons to discover if they sound male or female.

Click Sources in the header to see live citations from bible.helloao.org.
Every scripture reference in replies is grounded with exact text from original languages (Greek SBL, Hebrew WLC) and literal English translations.
Click sources in replies to expand details and speak the verses.

Click the book icon or hamburger to open sidebar with chat history (Grok-like multi-conversation).
Search chats, create new, or switch between conversations.
Chats are saved in your browser only.

Android / Chrome desktop: tap Install when prompted, or use the browser menu → Install app.
iPhone: open in Safari or Chrome, tap Share → Add to Home Screen.
Installed app opens full-screen with offline access to cached Bible text (AI study still needs internet).
